Sharjah unveils Dh5 million stability fund for entrepreneurs and startups
Fast-track funding model designed to accelerate urgent business support decisions
SHARJAH – The Sharjah Entrepreneurship Center (Sheraa) has introduced a Dh5 million Stability Fund aimed at reinforcing the operational strength and continuity of startups and small and medium enterprises across Sharjah.
Launched under the directives of Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, the initiative is designed to provide rapid financial and operational relief to businesses navigating market uncertainty.
The programme is aligned with the wider “Proud of the Emirates” campaign, reinforcing national efforts to build a resilient, innovation-driven economy.
Fast-track funding access
The Stability Fund introduces a simplified evaluation mechanism to speed up decision-making for eligible businesses. This approach ensures that qualifying startups and SMEs can receive timely assistance without extended administrative delays.
The fund provides non-repayable, equity-free grants, allowing founders to access capital without diluting ownership. This structure is designed to preserve entrepreneurial control while offering immediate liquidity support for ongoing operations. The focus remains on companies already active in the market, particularly those facing disruption from external conditions.
Funding is directed towards businesses operating in key sectors considered essential to long-term economic stability. These include manufacturing, food security, and healthcare, alongside other industries contributing to national resilience.
The initiative also supports companies within Sheraa’s existing portfolio, strengthening ventures already embedded in Sharjah’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. By targeting vital industries, the fund aims to reinforce supply chain continuity and operational stability across essential services.
Integrated support ecosystem
Beyond financial assistance, selected companies gain access to a structured support programme. This includes one-to-one advisory sessions, workshops, office hours, and tailored guidance aimed at strengthening business strategy and execution.
Participants also benefit from business matchmaking opportunities and exposure to partner networks that help expand market reach. Additional operational resources and software tools are provided to enhance efficiency and readiness, supporting businesses as they adapt to changing conditions.
Strategic ecosystem partnerships
The Dh 5 million fund is backed by a wide network of government and private sector partners contributing to its scale and reach. These include Beeah Group, CE Ventures, National Paints, Al Midfa Investments Group, Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq), Careem, RAK Bank, Floward, Alaan, Sharjah Research, Technology and Innovation Park, Sharjah Broadcasting Authority, Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority, Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority, Majid Al Futtaim, Emirates Petroleum Company, Publicis Groupe, Entrepreneur Middle East, Inc. Arabia and Paymob.
This collaborative model is positioned to strengthen Sharjah’s broader entrepreneurship ecosystem, ensuring sustained support for viable startups and SMEs.
How to apply
Startups and SMEs can apply directly through Sheraa’s official portal. The application process is designed for speed, reflecting the fund’s focus on rapid response to business needs and operational challenges.
As part of Sheraa’s wider mandate, the Stability Fund extends its role in enabling entrepreneurship growth, complementing ongoing programmes that support venture development, scaling, and long-term market participation.
